Warning: This is so hot, we’re not sure if everyone can handle it.
Designer Calvin Klein is known for creating some of the sexiest underwear advertisements on the planet, and once again, the iconic brand does not disappoint. Now, imagine Mahershala Ali, Trevante Rhodes and Ashton Sanders all modeling the famous CK briefs, boxers, and tee-shirts. Young Alex Hibbert is also included in the handsome Moonlight group in a modest role, and the timing couldn’t be more perfect. The Spring ’17 Men’s Calvin Klein Underwear Campaign was photographed by Willy Vanderperre.
The film Moonlight ,directed and written by Barry Jenkins, is star-studded in every sense of the word, especially with Ali taking home the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor and the huge surprise for Moonlight’s Best Picture award after La La Land was mistakenly announced as the winning film. According to USAToday, the Calvin Klein campaign features the stars in a series of beautiful black and white photos; er, tuxedos not required. You can check out the Moonlight men here at CalvinKleinInstagram. Talk about fine abs, thighs and everything else—these men rock!
This is certainly Mahershala’s moment. For almost 20 years, the talented star has labored so hard in the craft of film and television or, as he put it, “working 16 years to be an overnight sensation.” The gentlemen are honored to become the faces of Calvin Klein’s spring 2017 underwear campaign gone global. Raf Simons selected the handsome actors for the advertisements; he’s CK’s new chief creative officer. Simons is taking the American label to every corner of the world, and to feature four African-American men as faces of the brand is a huge step in the right direction.
You can read and see the entire CK campaign here. You’ll get a real appreciation for their talent, their struggles as artists and the next step in their bright futures. The phenomenal runaway success of Moonlight has kept the world abuzz. It’s a poignant movie that maps the life of Chiron across three defining stages of his life, starting out as a young black man growing up in turbulent 1980s Miami. The film follows Chiron’s ongoing challenges with his sexuality and unstable family life.
