It hasn’t taken long for the world to fall in love with Britain’s Prince Harry and America’s Meghan Markle. The beautiful pair have melted hearts in their modern approach to love and life, and on Thursday, the official engagement photos were released to the public.
The royal modern couple are affectionate, and the photos tell the story. New York City photographer Alexi Lubomirski snapped the portfolio, and Kensington Palace released a stunning black and white, intimate portrait of Harry and Meghan. The photo depicts the loved-up pair in a closeup as Meghan touches Harry’s face, and her stunning ring is in view. The UK’s Daily Mail has published the warm photos.
Meghan’s yellow gold engagement ring features a beautiful center diamond from Prince Harry’s favorite place, Botswana. Two smaller diamonds that belonged to the late Princess Diana sit on both sides of the center diamond. The ring holds immense sentiment for Prince Harry and Meghan, and both wanted Harry’s mother to always be with them during their union.
Women admire Meghan Markle and want a ring just like hers. Cleave and Company, however, say the ring is a true original and the only one the jewelers will ever feature. The photographs were taken at Frogmore House, a residence on the grounds of Windsor Castle. A formal photo in color shows the happy pair holding hands on the steps of Frogmore House. The prince is wearing a blue suit, and she is glowing in a black couture ballgown by British designer Ralph & Russo.
The social media universe has gone wild with obsession and good wishes for the newly engaged royals. Lubomirski says he was also taken with their romance. “I cannot help but smile when I look at the photos that we took of them, such was their happiness together.”
The royal wedding will be held at Windsor Castle on Saturday, May 19.
