Janet Jackson is fabulous at 50, and now she’s a mother! That’s right Jackson and husband, Wissam Al Mana, are parents of a beautiful bouncing boy. Janet’s rep reported that she had a healthy delivery and both mom and baby are resting comfortably. The two announced the surprise back in October, just a few months before their due date, calling the pregnancy “a blessing.”
On Tuesday, January 3rd, the couple welcomed their baby boy, Eissa Al Mana, into the world. While many were speculating that the decision to have a baby at the age of 50 would be the hot topic, its turned out that the baby’s name is all the rave. Fans were expecting to see a staple Jackson name, even a tribute to the King of Pop, Michael, but Janet and Wissam had another name in mind. Eissa, in Hebrew, means ‘salvation,’ and in Aramaic means ‘Jesus.’
While there is not much else known about this little bundle of joy, fans can only hope to see the young one grow up in the spotlight. Janet, still going strong with her music career, had to postpone her remaining tours to “rest”; however, no one expects her to slow down quite yet. As she told the press when the pregnancy was first announced, “My husband and I are planning our family, so I’m going to have to delay the tour,” she said last April. “I have to rest up, doctor’s orders.”
Janet and Wissam are elated to be parents and what better way to kick off the new year than to welcome the newest member of the family. While the couple sits back and takes it all in, fans and family are offering their joy and congratulations. Congratulations, Janet and Wissam, and Hello baby, Eissa.
