Omarosa Manigault, known for her fiery attitude and combative nature during her time on the reality show The Apprentice, apparently made more of an impression with Trump than people thought. In fact, Trump has made it official: Omarosa, the star that “America loves to hate” has just been appointed to his new administration. Now that the rumors have been put to rest, Omarosa will take on the role of Director of Communications of the Office of Public Liaison. The job will put Omarosa in a public role giving her plenty of air-time for the American people to “love to hate” her.
Omarosa has been a high-profile and avid supporter of Trump during his run for the presidency, offering a strong connection to the African-American population. Despite her title as the “Apprentice Villain” and her troubles on the show, Omarosa and Trump have continued to build a relationship over the years, making it no surprise to those close to Trump to see her name on the list of employees.
During Trump’s campaign, Omarosa divulged her reasoning behind supporting her mentor, stating, “I believe the first reason that Donald Trump is running for President is that he truly believes that he can help turn the nation around. The second reason I believe is that this is the greatest position in the world, to be at the center of political power, of the universe. But more importantly, every critic, every detractor will have to bow down to President Trump.”
With reasoning like that, it’s no wonder Americans love to hate this villain-turned-politician; but then again, that reasoning seems to fall in line perfectly with Donald Trump’s mentality, so the two make a wonderful team, like two peas in a pod.
