Queen Beyoncé has notched yet another record to her long list of achievements, and the greatness she has reached this time is directly tied to her bank account. According to business magazine Forbes, Beyoncé managed to earn $105 million over the period spanning from June 2016 to July 2017. Beyoncé is currently the highest-paid female musician in the world. Her 12-month earnings are almost as much as those of Adele and Taylor Swift combined, and she has earned nearly three times as much as Rihanna, whose rank on the Forbes list is currently at number seven with $36 million.
It certainly helps that Beyoncé‘s status as the reigning music queen allows her to lend her musical talents to just about any situation and make it better. American rapper Eminem, for example, featured Beyoncé on a track he released after spending many years away from the studio; as a result, his new “Walk On Water” hit single is now doing quite well on the Billboard charts.
To get an idea of how prominent Beyoncé is in the popular music landscape, it should be noted that “Walk on Water” is now the 57th time she has made it to the Billboard Hot 100 chart. For those who wish to get technical, Beyoncé has appeared 71 times on the Hot 100 if her work with Destiny’s Child is taken into account, and Forbes is certainly keeping count.
Beyoncé owes a lot of her recent success to her album Lemonade, which has enjoyed heavy airplay and digital streaming since April 2016. Her support of major fans such as former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and former First Lady Michelle Obama is another substantial boost to her profile. Beyoncé and Rihanna have already achieved great success in terms of musical legacy; however, unlike their predecessors Aretha Franklin, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Diana Ross, Celia Cruz, Donna Summer and others, they have also attained the highest levels of financial success.
