Most of us know Venus Williams as the spectacular tennis pro with seven Grand Slam singles titles under her belt. The striking, international star has also achieved other impressive feats off the court, including a degree in fashion design from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale and a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration from Indiana University East. At the moment, Williams, 37, is also working on a Master’s degree in Interior Architecture.
How does she find the time to still remain on the edge of fashion and maintain her tennis phenom status? The tennis beauty recently graced the December 2017 cover of DuJour magazine. Venus Williams killed it in a beige Max Mara dress and jacket and showing off a sleek Ladies Automatic Richard Mille Watch ($128,500). Her flawless makeup was done by professional artist Jo Rollins. We’re all loving Venus’s bold brows, soft nude lips and deep gray eyeshadow. The cheek highlighter is stunning but probably more so because of her strong, gorgeous bone structure. The tennis star enjoys doing fashion layouts and has the ideal lean figure to wear it well. Here she poses in sultry Balmain last summer.
EleVen by Venus is one of her other pursuits, an activewear lifestyle brand that she features in pretty feminine pieces with strong geometric and floral prints. The star suggests on her personal Instagram page that she is more than her tennis career: “I don’t want to be put in a box. I love being great at tennis, but just because you’re an athlete doesn’t mean you’re not a well-rounded person who is perfectly capable of achieving other things.”
Amen, and we can imagine what a super Aunt Venus she is to sister Serena’s baby girl, Alexis Olympia.
